Bio of Murray Baxter
Graduating from Otago University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce, I commenced employment with the New Zealand Treasury. During my six years of employment at the Treasury I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (1996).
In 1997 I gained admittance to the College of Chartered Accountants.
As an Accountant I have been employed by companies including BNZ, Telecom and Lucent Technology both in New Zealand and Australia.
More recently I was a Financial Advisor for the Ministry of Social Development leading to a secondment within the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs as Finance Manager.
When an opportunity arose to work on the Kāpiti Coast, I commenced work for the local Council. During this time I was able to start building a private practice.
In 2012, I left full time employment to concentrate on delivering services to my clients.
